Gold River, California is a neighborhood of Sacramento, California, still unincorporated today. This small well planned community is made up of 25 separate villages within a large planned development.
It has about 9000 residents in about 3200 households. Gold River was created in the late 1970s, and is located in the suburbs of Sacramento, with beautiful single family homes sitting on tree lined, lushly landscaped streets. It boasts of a private health club, wonderful parks, a great business area, and many amenities only found in larger cities.
Gold River today is made up of 25 single family home villages, each named for famous gold mining patriarchs and places. Each village is governed by its own HOA. The homes here range from 1500 sq. ft to over 5000 sq. ft.
Gold River has its own neighborhood elementary school with over 600 students attending classes.
The villages are linked by over five miles of nature trails that are woven in and around the villages allowing the residents abundant hiking and trailing options, on top of their own private entrance to the American River Parkway rich in wildlife, outdoor activities and local history.
